Difference between shared and dedicated hosting

What is the difference between shared hosting and dedicated hosting. i am going to buy new hosting for that reason i am asking this.

Shared Hosting

 

A shared hosting denotes to a dedicated server that is shared over a large no: of clients. The resources of the server are shared by large no: of clients. This makes it inexpensive concerning costing.

 

Pros: Inexpensive, Easy to setup, several accounts can be created.

 

Cons: Limited resources and flexibility cannot use customized software.

 

 

Dedicated Server

 

A dedicated server is used and managed by a single customer. He has the complete root access to all the resources of the server. It is most appropriate for large companies, e-commerce, businesses, government organizations, banks, etc.

 

Pros: Complete control of the server and its resources.

 

Cons: Pricier as compared to other hosting types, One needs to have the knowledge to manage a Dedicated Server.

In share hosting, the web host firm does all the technical activities for you. Your lack of technical know-how doesn’t make you face any difficulty in operating your web-site. 

 

Dedicated hosting is a hosting configuration in which a server is devoted to a single organisation or for a single purpose, such as a website.
